This is a time for strengthening and growing our relationships and remembering our dreams.

How often do you hear about or even thought about not having enough time to spend with your children, spouse, family OR even having enough ME time to regain your sanity during the week? Even the weekends have been predestined with our ‘to-do’ lists.

We have no choice over the next few weeks but to re-evaluate our lives, our relationships, and even learn to love ourselves again. The Big 3 are even closing down due to the spreading illness. Living has been moved to the top of the PRIORITY list by the entire world.

This is an opportunity to focus inward and spark that fire for the changes and growth wanted for so long by staring it in the face, in the mirror. Do you remember that ‘thing’ you dreamed about doing? That business you wanted to start? Those people you wanted to help? Remember……

When the house is running smoothly it seems like I can conquer anything on the outside of those four walls.

When I am loving others and being loved, I can climb the highest mountain.

When my house is clean, family fed, laundry done, and I can relax and read for the first time in years, I go to bed knowing all is well. This releases me to begin to dream again, all is well here, now it is time to step with faith to act on what has been postponed because of busyness.

Maybe that’s not you. Whatever brings contentment and peace while spending time connecting with people differently or at home with family, you and I are being forced to do that very thing right now.

The one thing we have all longed for, is MORE TIME.

The woman lying in bed on hospice. The father losing his battle with cancer. The stay-at-home mom watching her husband leave her. The teen who could not save his friend. The 80-year that just slowed down enough to remember her dream.

There is still time. While the world is in slow motion, take a break from the news and stop to look around. Who is in your space? Fulfill the list of I wish I had more time, I would……..

The world has slowed its pace. Are you still running? Work has shown that it can wait. Tasks will always line up for you to check off your list tomorrow. Rest, dream, play, and love even if for a day.

What I was really missing was these faces gathered around me, in my personal space. They had some cool things to say when I stop and really listen. My three children. They are teens and so darn cool. I have learned to be present where I am; there is no mistake I am with the ones I love doing the things I have been waiting to “have time” to do!

Oh, and about my dream, it is becoming real as I write this third blog post to you! I am writing my book, programs, and I am stepping out to share a brighter perspective in Thinking Sunshine!
