Have you ever simply known something so deep in your heart, your gut, and your mind that there was something that was going to be yours? However, there was not a way you could see its manifestation in the foreseeable future, like…… at all. It seems as though it is just a WISH, a DREAM, a DESIRE, a VISION that you try like crazy to make it happen, but it cannot be manufactured by your own hands!

Frustrating…….

Think about this for a moment, nearly all these “things” involve other people. You cannot just make them happen by yourself and without careful thought, and prayer. This is where FAITH comes in. You know what you know down deep. You have no vehicle to get you there, but you know and have your eyes fixed and your heart convinced it WILL happen.

Here is where our head gets involved and we try to figure it out. We THINK that our dream, vision, desire is a destination to get to and we will have it. That if we do things in a certain order or pattern, if we do all the steps just right – it will be ours! Only after a few times to trying to make it happen and it falls apart or being exhausted enough to stop moving in our own strength do we take a PAUSE and feel like giving up on it. Sometimes I have tucked it away and tried to forget about it. Other times, I pull that dream back out and work it another angle, yet still coming up short. So close! I put my fist in the air and say, ‘I know what I know and this is supposed to happen’!!!

In my world, I believe that our hearts desire is Gods voice preparing us for what is to come.

Now wait, this ONLY applies if you have surrendered your life to Him and understand your redemption through the blood of Jesus. Hear me out……. because otherwise that statement can be dangerous.

What you believe in matters!

We all have desires that we hope for….. here is an EXAMPLE. This is something almost everyone I know has had from the time they were small.

The desire to grow up and find the ONE and get married.

I see this in the Class of 2020 seniors 10-year goals that are being plastered on Twitter to honor our kids, mine included. They state “In 10 years I want to …….” The overwhelming response attached to college goals is “Get married and start a family.”

The innate nature of finding love, a quest that is inside each person to belong to something or someone. The way you believe MATTERS, it can be right or wrong. Let me explain…….

The RIGHT way is to know in your heart that God has plans for you to be a husband or wife. You feel it, desire it, want it badly. So, you keep your heart open and wait, keeping your eyes open and truly using wisdom and discernment to CHOOSE who will be the ONE.

The WRONG way is to know in your heart that God has plans for you to be a husband or wife. You feel it, desire it, and want it badly. So you date everyone that shows interest and then fixate on the best one this month, do everything to WIN them, compromising your beliefs, standards, and settling because you are tired of waiting…….praying that they would be the ONE against their own will, thus eliminating anyone else for consideration.

Think differently, instead of saying that “you give up,” surrender that dream, vision, or desire and wait for it to arrive.

It isn’t that it is NOT going to happen, it is just NOT YET.

If good things were easy, we would ALL have them. It is the good things that are worth the WAIT. The things hoped for that we can not see, are by FAITH. We believe it because it is deep within us. Timing is everything, so therein lies the WAIT. See we cannot have it all right now, this instant, unless God says so; however, all things we dream and desire, have other people involved.

Only heaven, patience, and desire are required for when all those things line up in perfect timing; and execution happens in what seems effortlessly and more than not is even BETTER than we imagined.

The only thing you have control over is yourself. You must wait for others to become aligned and there will be agreement and release at just the moment when You can feel in your entire being, THIS IS IT; it is within reach and you grab it. You get it with both hands and run with it. You have waited for so long.

Remember:

David, waited 22 years to become king AFTER he was told he would be by a prophet.

Joseph had dreams of ruling over his brothers and it did not happen until 13 years later.

Jacob knew Rachel was his, but had to wait 14 years to marry her.

Sarah and Abraham waited 25 years AFTER a child was promised to them.

Now we do not live hundreds of years now like they did in the Bible, so the time has shortened, thank goodness. That time is a least cut in half. (hope come back!)

I knew this day would come where I would be writing my book, I never had the time. I put the idea out there, tucked it away, started the writing a few times. I actually lost it from 6 years ago when I began, so I started over this year. It never left me…..I just never had the time. Then surprise pandemic shows up and I am forced to stay at home and that vision said – hey here I am! Launched my website and look where we are a month later.

There is something ELSE right now that I know, that I know and the desire has not gone away. I EVEN prayed to God to take this desire away because of the anguish of not having it was too much for me to bear. It was THEN in my surrender, in my spirit, I heard

“If I take the desire from you, you will not be ready when it is within reach and you will not recognize it when it presents itself to you.”

You MUST always stay aware of the desire, dream or vision, to recognize it when it is in front of you. Do not tuck it away, trying to forget about it every time it resurrects itself to the forefront of your mind.  Keep living, be patient, and with careful discernment wait for it, have faith believing it is coming.

There are things that NEED to happen so you are ready for it. Preparation, character, gratitude….

You will not be disappointed for your obedience; and your surrender will usher in something bigger and better than you could ever imagine or could manufacture on your own. Things are moving and aligning for you. Wait with your heart, mind, and eyes open, I guarantee you WILL see it coming in the days, months, or years ahead.

Who do you think put it there….. the one who will bring it to you. It is not a destination to get to so you can have it. It is coming, the desire is only there so you are ready when it arrives at your feet.

Embrace the wait and get ready to receive. It is worth it!
